Meet Arlington Optometrist, Dr. David Weiss
Dr. Weiss is an Optometrist in Arlington providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Weiss provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Weiss is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Weiss is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension.
Dr. Weiss works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Weiss's dedication to continuing education that our Arlington patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
During his off hours Dr. Weiss is an active member of the Liberty Mountain Ski Patrol. In the winter you can find at the Mountain most every weekend. He also enjoys other outdoor activities. Biking, hiking and napping at the beach. He has competed in numerous triathlons and 10K running events.
Jennifer Q. Duan, OD FAAO
Dr. Jennifer Duan graduated with high honors from State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. She completed her postgraduate residency, focusing on primary care and ocular disease, at the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. She was the recipient of the Chancellor's Award for student excellence, Scott Tasker Folsom Award for academic and clinical excellence, Morton L. Kimmelman Memorial Award for outstanding leadership, and the Schnurmacher Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement.
Dr. Duan has extensive experience and clinical training in ocular pathology management of glaucoma, cataracts and corneal and retinal disorders, as well as in pediatric eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, emergency eye care and pre and post surgical management of cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and the American Optometric Association. She is a regular presenter at national optometric meetings.
Prior to joining Rosslyn Eye Associates in 2012, Dr. Duan worked in a multidisciplinary group practice in New York City. Outside of optometry she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. Dr. Duan is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
